Brooke A.
Brooke A. Masters is a Senior Business Reporter in the New York office of the Financial Times, where she covers the intersection of law and business. From 2002 to 2006, she reported on Wall Street and white-collar crime for the Washington Post, a perch that afforded her a close-up view of the trials of Martha Stewart, Frank Quattrone, the Rigas family and Bernard Ebbers. She also reported extensively for the Post on Eliot Spitzer's various investigations. In prior assignments at the Post, she covered criminal justice, education, and politics. She has also written extensively about espionage, capital punishment and terrorism.
Born and raised in Manhattan, Brooke attended the Brearley School and Phillips Exeter Academy. She graduated summa cum laude from Harvard University in 1989 and earned a master's of science in economic history from the London School of Economics. She and her husband live in Mamaroneck with their two children.
