is the Leo Marx Associate Professor of the History of Science in the Program in Science, Technology, and Society at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a lecturer in MIT's Department of Physics. His historical research focuses on changes in American physics during the Cold War, and his physical research focuses on early-universe cosmology. He is the author of Drawing Theories Apart: The Dispersion of Feynman Diagrams in Postwar Physics (University of Chicago Press, 2005) and the editor of Pedagogy and the Practice of Science: Historical and Contemporary Perspectives (MIT Press, 2005).
