Artoni

Roberto Artoni has been Full Professor of Public Economics at Bocconi University in Milan since 1988. After taking a degree in Economics at Bocconi University, he obtained a B.Phil. in Economics at the University of York. In the following years he was professor in Public Finance and International Economics at the University of Trieste, Bergamo and Pavia. In 1992-93 he was appointed to the Board of CONSOB, the Italian National Securities and Exchange Commission. In 1994 he became a member of the Board of the Foundation of CARIPLO and from 1996 he is deputy chairman of the Board of the same Foundation. His principal research interests are the study of the evolution of the welfare state, with particular reference to the public services supply (health systems, education and social security) and the analysis of market regulation.
